The Dears have shared a brand new track ahead of the release of their sixth studio album.
The new track, “Here’s To The Death Of All The Romance”, is now available to listen to from the upcoming studio album Times Infinity Volume One. The new album is due for release on February 3 2017.
The album is being released ahead of The Dears heading to the UK to perform there for the first time in six years. The pop rock band from Montréal will be playing 4 long-anticipated dates, with shows taking place in Cardiff, Bristol, and Leeds before their final show in London Village Underground on February 28 2017.
Times Infinity Volume One is the first part of a two album compilation, with Times Infinity Volume Two lined up for release in summer 2017. The Dears have been working on the extended project in Canada over a two-year period.

Frontman Murray A. Lightburn talks about the composition process: “Putting these two records together was like solving a puzzle: Volume One was about finding the edge pieces while Volume Two was about the middle pieces. It was very difficult to wrap one’s head around at first, but by the end of production, it just became easier and easier. It’s a metaphor for life, and our life’s story.”
The Dears, formed in 1995, released their first orchestral-pop-noir album End of a Hollywood Bedtime Story in 2000. Their collection of indie and orchestral pop rock full-length albums and EPs span over the last sixteen years. Long praised for their style, they combine their cabaret-style vocals and theatrical performances with their intense vision to present real emotions through their songs and use music as a form of therapy for their listeners.
