The multi-instrumentalist producer Chris Kaz returns with ‘Untold’ a 12-track future soul record this summer, and to mark this announcement will be showcasing the new material live tonight at Birthdays in Dalston.

The first single, ‘Track Nine’ is online now and showcases Chris Kaz’s boundless ability to create thought-provoking, soulful music, engulfed with his distinctively ethereal vocals. The layering of reverb-rich sounds and eerie melodies gradually build, as he merges a myriad of disparate influences to create an evocative and mysterious soundscape.

Chris’ story is most precariously drawn of all expectations crossing into classical, left and tech-step genres, with bass-driven, futuristic beats driven by band members Marcel McCalla (backing vocals and guitar), Sammi Tammilehto (percussion) and Saku Maristo (keys). His carefully constructed music is potent yet minimal, fabricated through knowledge of classical composition, electronic production and a musical subtlety honed over the years.

Born and bred in London, Kaz’s multicultural heritage has always been a key influence on his creative output. As a half Greek-Cypriot and half German-Sri Lankan, his music is inherently diverse, inspired by a multitude of genres outputting a product that cannot be bound by category.

‘Untold’ will be released this summer via UK label, Perth Records. Don’t miss the first listen tonight in London.
