Iron Maiden frontman states that his next solo album is half written and is planning to reclaim his song ‘If Eternity Should Fail’ after it was used as the opening song on Iron Maiden’s most recent album ‘The Book Of Souls’. One of Dickinson’s other solo songs was re-purposed by Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris ‘Bring Your Daughter… To The Slaughter’ which was first recorded by Dickinson gave Iron Maiden their U.K. number 1 in 1990.
Dickinson told Kaaos TV in a recent interview: “There’s half an album of solo stuff sitting on a shelf, I just need to go and get some time and write some more material. I was half way through doing actually a whole concept album which was going to be called ‘If Eternity Should Fail’ and ‘If Eternity Should Fail’ was the title track to my new solo album. A bit like ‘Bring Your Daughter … To The Slaughter’ it got commandeered for Iron Maiden. So if I did do another solo album, which I think I will, I might just stick to my original plan and have it as the title track, it was the first track that I wrote for it.”
So there you have it, we could possibly be hearing another solo album from Bruce again sometime in the near future, the interview Bruce did with Kaaos TV is available to watch on YouTube
