Legendary rock act Blondie have released the official video for ‘Fun’, the first single off their upcoming eleventh studio album, ‘Pollinator’.
The video, described as a ‘psychedelic Martian rave’ features Debbie Harry and her band performing in silky monochrome as an astronaut hurdles through space, the two realms colliding in a trippy nightclub scene. ‘Fun’ , released on February 1st is the first Blondie single since 2014, and the first track released from ‘Pollinator’, which is scheduled for release on May 5th.

Daryl Rimmsch, who has previously worked on videos for Beyonce, acted as the film’s director, issuing the following statement: It was amazing to be on the other side of the glass from her when those ‘Debbie moments’ happened,” he said. “It felt like I had stepped into a parallel dimension.”
Having been a quiet few years, with Debbie Harry focusing on philanthropy, Blondie will be back with a vengeance in 2017 – alongside a headlining tour with Garbage starting in July, the band will be performing with Phil Collins in Dublin in June and joining Cyndi Lauper on an Oceania tour later in the year.
‘Pollinator’ will be released on May 5th.
