Augustines (previously We Are Augustines) release their new self-titled album on the 4th February 2014, via ‘Votiv/Oxcart‘. The album is the follow up to the bands 2011 critically acclaimed LP ‘Rise Ye Sunken Ships’. The good news for fans of the band, and for those who are just a little intrigued, is that the Wall Street Journal has provided a stream of the album a full week ahead of it’s general release.

The three band members – Billy McCarthy (vocals, guitar), Eric Sanderson (bass, keyboards, vocals) and Rob Allen (drums, percussion) – recorded ‘Augustines’ with co-producer Peter Katis (The National, Frightened Rabbit, Jónsi) at his Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT. Where their first record was created in relative isolation, Augustines was made “with the awareness that we weren’t going to be alone anymore,” says McCarthy. “This is us handing it over to those people that sang our songs back to us all over the world. We turned from the interior and started considering some of the breathtaking moments that happened to us on the road, in different countries.”
