August Burns Red released a brand new music video for ‘Ghosts’ from last album Found In Far Away Places. The track is the second video after ‘Identity’ and features guest singer Jeremy McKinnon from A Day To Remember. Found In Far Away Places is ABR’s seventh studio album and first after signing with Fearless Records. Released on 29 June 2015, it peaked at number 1 in the Hard Rock, Indie, Christian and Rock albums in the United States, and received predominantly positive critical responses.
What will come as a disappointing surprise for some is that, although Jeremy McKinnon features on the recorded track, he does not appear in the actual video. Nevertheless, ‘Ghosts’ sees the band produce of their most engaging and mature videos in their career, focusing on the growing issues of homelessness and war veterans’ post-war life.
Although usualy branded as traditional melodic metalcore band, August Burns Red have always indroduced more progressive ideas in their music and have always demonstrated a fascinating level of creativity and technique. ‘Ghosts’ begins with long melodic intro that builds up to an explosive middle part and ends in a truly emotional climax, represents the band’s significant style and captures the main feel of the album.
