Will Butler has released a new song called ‘Anything You Want’. Arcade Fire‘s maniacal-man-of-a-thousand-instruments tweeted“I wanted to record and put this song out today, even if it’s a pretty rough demo. It’s about George Washington, and my family, and America. It wasn’t written for the 4th of July, but it feels appropriate.”

Recorded in Hackney while on tour in Europe with his main band, it’s his first solo music since 2016’s live album ‘Fright Night’ and 2015 studio effort ‘Policy’. It’s a low-key speak-sung piano ballad that borrows a chorus from Roy Orbison‘s 1989 song ‘You Got It’, and you can listen to it via Soundcloud below.
