Award-winning, Yorkshire born, indie-outfit Kaiser Chiefs are the first act of the Nottingham based Splendour festival to be announced.
Hot on the heels of their large-scale UK tour in February-March promoting their latest effort; 6th album ‘Stay Together’, the Chiefs look as if to be climbing back to the top where they belong. Alongside their new material they’ll be sure to have a plethora of hits in tow from their extensive back catalogue ensuring they make the experience something fans won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
2017 marks their debut at the festival, both as headliner and performer. The band have gone on to say “We’re really looking forward to performing at Splendour. We know the crowd and the setting will make for an unforgettable atmosphere.”

For an act of such magnitude it’s a special opportunity to catch the band heading up one of the smaller scale festivals the UK has to offer. In previous years the festival has played host to the likes of; The Darkness, Jess Glynne, Tom Odell, Jake Bugg, Pet Shop Boys and many more big hitters since their inception in 2008.
The festival takes place on July 22nd at Wollaton Park, Nottingham.
