Focus Features have announced Jonny Greenwood is to score Paul Thomas Anderson’s as yet untitled latest film, to be released later this year. Little is known about the film beyond it’s star, Daniel Day Lewis, who won an Academy Award for his role in Anderson’s There Will Be Blood. It is thought to revolve around the British fashion industry during the 1950s. Lewis has been spotted on set recently in Whitby, England.

The film represents the latest in a well established collaboration between the two, dating back to Greenwood’s widely praised work on the score for 2007’s There Will Be Blood. Greenwood also scored Anderson’s films The Master and Inherent Vice. In turn, Anderson directed a documentary on ‘Junun’, Greenwood’s album with Shye Ben Tzur as well as the music videos for Radiohead‘s ‘Daydreaming’, ‘Present Tense’ and ‘The Numbers’ from their ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ album.
Greenwood has also shared video this week from the rehearsals with the London Contemporary Orchestra, ahead of their performance of his There Will Be Blood score … watch this above.
