Jarvis Cocker returns to 6Music

After a year-long sabbatical we can today confirm that Jarvis Cocker will be returning to his ‘Sunday Service’ radio show on 6Music. Cocker will once again take up the reins from the 1st March 2015 after taking time out to work on other projects.

Cocker, who was replaced by Iggy Pop for the duration, said in December 2013 “Crop Rotation has long been recognised as a way of preserving the fertility of the soil”, referring to his reasons for leaving. “Every now and again a field has to be left to recover. In 2014, I will be that field.”

Cocker has hosted the ‘Sunday Service’ programme since 2009 and it has certainly been one of the main success stories on the 6Music roster. You can hear a rejuvenated Cocker from 4-6pm every Sunday.
