Irish ten-piece funk band TOUCAN announce new EP and UK tour

November 8th 2019 sees ten-piece Irish group TOUCAN release their anticipated second EP ‘Another Lover’. Following the EP, the band will embark on their UK tour on November 14th, stopping at venues in Glasgow, Manchester and London.

EP opener ‘Honey’ packs a punch and starts with a boundless energy – every element of the ten piece is utilised to create a booming wall of sound brimming with feel-good hooks. ‘Warm Morning Light’ has a slower pace, with much of the song having a more intimate and cosy feel, then it surprises when it builds into an enormous, celebratory repeat with an irresistible groove.  The final title-track, ‘Another Lover,’ is total pop-perfection, moving with the main hook’s infectious, electro-soaked texture, it serves up some unforgettable groove.

Having released their hugely promising self-titled debut EP in 2018, TOUCAN are fast becoming one of the Irish music scene’s most electrifying exports. Having already eclipsed over one million streams on Spotify, their 2018 single, ‘We Fell for Miles’ hit number 1 in the iTunes rock charts, the Top 30 in the singles charts and sustained the Top 10 in Spotify’s ‘Ireland Viral 50’.
