Post-rock duo Nordic Giants have announced their plans to release a short documentary film.

Their latest concept, ‘Amplify Human Vibration’, is a documentary-soundtrack-tour project that “would like to bring to light the positive changes people are making“.

The enigmatic and mysterious duo Rôka & Löki are well-known for their unique live performances. Through all their performances, the two are dressed in character with ancient headdresses and capes to hide their identities, while combining screen, lighting and multiple layers of sound and speech.

Their website says more about the upcoming project for fans and new listeners alike: “For those that have seen the live show before fear not, this will not be a light affair, but a thought provoking exploration into the human spirit. In this short film we will step out from behind the shadows of the masks to personally meet these inspiring people.

Those who have attended shows by Nordic Giants will be familiar with the unique video footage the two musicians compile for their love shows, as well as the positive message the band focuses on throughout their music.

Alongside the film, Nordic Giants will be recording a full original soundtrack of new material which will be available on CD and vinyl.

The project will culminate by ending the filming at one of their U.K festival slots, to be announced at a later date, leading to speculation where they will be performing.

‘Amplify Human Vibration’ will be streamed for free at screening events across the world, on the same day, at the same time on a date also to be announced.

The duo has launched a gofundme.com campaign to raise the funds needed for the project, which is currently well over the halfway mark after being announced just weeks ago. Those interested in supporting their endeavour can do so here.
