The Who have announced a massive overhaul of their 1965 debut LP. The new 5 CD boxset is due for release on 18th November. The discs consist of the original mono mix of the album, a 2014 stereo mix, 2 discs of various mixes and outtakes from the period and a disc of demos.
The box consists of 79 tracks as well as an 80 page hardback colour book as well as 3 previously unheard tracks; ‘The Girls I Could Have Had’, ‘As Children We Grew’and ‘My Own Love’. The stereo disc has been creating by surviving members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltry creating new overdubs. These overdubs were made using the same guitars, amps and mics as used on the original album 51 years ago.

• Previously unreleased on CD or vinyl. Released on iTunes 2014.
• Remixed by the band in 2014 – For the missing overdubs Pete used exactly the same guitars and amps as the original album. Roger used same type of microphone.
Overdubs recorded at Pete’s home studio and Yellowfish Studio.
