Gene Simmons slammed for attempting to trademark the “devil horns” hand gesture

KISS frontman Gene Simmons is always looking for ways to make money off of anything including bags of air dubbed “air guitar strings” to over priced face masks to wine to caskets and urns and now he’s trying to file a trademark on a hand symbol. But he’s been doing the symbol wrong for all these years, he’s been doing the symbol for “I love you” and parading it around like the devil horns. For many years Simmons claimed he invented the symbol. Although many others credit Dio with popularising the gesture which Dio credits his grandmother for first introducing him to the gesture saying she would do the symbol to protect from the “evil eye”

Dio’s wife stated: trying to make money off of something like this is disgusting, she also says that his attempt is “a joke” and “laughable” and “he’s making a complete fool of himself.”
