Gene Simmons says KISS has “a few more years” left before it calls it quits.
He told “GlasgowLive” ahead of the bands sold out May 27th concert at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow Scotland. He stated: We’re the hardest working band in show business, I wear 40 pounds of studs and armour and all that stuff. He also stated: if “Bono” or “Mick Jagger” who we all love, had to dress up and do what I do, they wouldn’t last an hour – they just couldn’t.

He continued: in hindsight it would have been smarter to be a “U2” or “The Rolling Stones” and to wear sneakers and a t-shirt you’re comfortable, no we had to do it the hard way, so we’re gonna be able do it into our 70’s and I’m 67 now, we’ll do it for a few more years and then I think it’s time to go, we’ll go and do it the right way, with a big party.
“KISS” has played to millions of fans across the globe for 44 years, sold over 100 million records and has been inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, but Gene has now hinted that it may soon be time for the band to step out of the spotlight.
But fans shouldn’t fear just yet as KISS still plan to don the face paint and studs for a few years yet.
