The Forge closes but the (Camden Rocks) show must go on.

The Forge, a 300 capacity music venue in Camden, London is set to close. Official social media for the venue has said “The directors of The Forge have decided to close the venue from 1st April 2017. Running a music venue in these times is exceptionally tough and we have reached a point where it is time to close the doors”.

The venue which was one of 25 used regularly by Camden Rocks Festival is set to have its last event The Cuban Jam tomorrow (31st March). Camden Rocks organiser Chris McCormack has said that its a “real shame, it’s a cracking venue and they’re good people”, he also confirmed there will be no impact on the festival saying “I spent yesterday placing all the Forge bands into other venues and we’re ok”.

Known for it’s diversity and inclusivity it will be missed by those who regularly attended.
