The first wave of artists to be announced for August’s Sea Change Festival has been released, and there’s some real crackers.  Taking the headline spot at the moment is the incredible Ryley Walker – one of the absolute best live artists currently operating – but names like Julie Byrne, Nadia Reid and Michael Chapman also standout.  The 12 artists and band announced for the festival so far look set to give Sea Change 2017 a good amount of variety, covering the gauntlet from Folk to Psychedelic Rock.

The festival is due to take place on Friday and Saturday, August 25th & 26th.  This year’s Sea Change announcement follows on from last year’s inaugural event, which saw acts including British Sea Power, Toy, Bo Ningen and Ultimate Painting take to the stage in Totnes, Devon.

The festival was hosted and created by Totnes’ local indie record store, Drift Record Shop and this year also seems to be a collaborative effort with the ever reliable Heavenly Records, Bella Union and The Quietus.
