The Great Escape Expand Line-Up With Over 120 Artists

Britain’s leading new music festival The Great Escape has added a bulk of new acts to its increasingly-impressive bill.

Among the over 120 artists announced today is Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes, with his new record ‘End of Suffering’ being released the week before. He is part of the Fender takeover at The Old Market, including sets from newly-announced Black Peaks, Lady Bird and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs.

London-born Anna Calvi returns to the Brighton festival for the first time since 2011. Little Simz will perform cuts off her new record ‘Grey Area’ while Jaykae and M Huncho will bring the energy to a festival that has recently made strides in promoting British rap.

Local gritty songwriter Annabel Allum will bring her intense live show to The Great Escape alongside the seven-piece emo outfit itoldyouiwouldeatyou. Confidence Man will provide the party as The Amazons makes their case to be the British rock band of the moment.

While The Great Escape prides itself on hosting the latest upcoming talent, some older acts have the opportunity to perform. Mini Mansions will make a appearance as Tourist will bring tracks off his new record ‘Everyday’. The extremely prolific Kiran Leonard could perform tracks off any of his twelve albums released within six years.

Rising sweeping indie act Another Sky return to Brighton alongside Irish songwriter Rosie Carney and the enigmatic Pixx. Off the back of a support slot for Sigrid, Oli Fox joins the line-up for The Great Escape. Entertaining duo The Rhythm Method will provide some laughs and anthems.

If eccentric characters is what you want, look no further than Du Blonde. If grounded but transformative rock is more your thing, Our Girl is on hand to fill those needs.

As always The Great Escape is determined to showcase the best in music. The seaside weekender is a reliable and thrilling mix of rap, rock, pop and indie and this year is no different.
