The Great Escape Adds Further 100+ Acts to Impressive Line-Up

With six weeks to go, The Great Escape has lived up to its name with the addition of over 100 acts. Among the freshly-announced 114 artists is Fat White Family, who will be promoting their forthcoming third record Serfs Up! (due 19th April). The art rockers will be joined by rising Icelandic pop singer Glowie and London garage rock three-piece Los Bitchos.

One of the most logical bookings of the festival calendar, talk-of-the-town Black Midi will cause a storm on the seaside. Liverpudlian solo pop kid Pizzagirl will take to stage while Scottish singer-songwriter Tamzene will make an appearance. Swiss rocker Emilie Zoé will also be performing cuts off her latest record ‘The Very Start’.

Vicious South London outfit Peeping Drexels will showcase their brash brand of chaos while Guildford’s China Bears will quietly juxtapose them. Saxophonist Laura Misch will soothe the coast with her jazzy cuts as Darkstar perform with the London Contemporary Orchestra.

HÆLOS promote their new record ‘Any Random Kindness’ (due May 10th) with an appearance. Yung Fume will perform tracks that have blown up stateside thanks to remixes from Ty Dolla $ign and Wizkid.

As well as the new acts announced, The Great Escape have also promised an announcement next week. In this, they will announce a new Spotlight Show – the flagship event that oversees the weekend. The first of these is headlined by Lewis Capaldi (already sold-out). The Great Escape have stated the currently-unannounced show will be “MASSIVE” so stay tuned! Details will follow on GIGsoup next week.
