Hot on the heels of announcing the full lineup of the Jägermeister Stage, Slam Dunk Festival have announced 16 more bands, and have revealed the stage splits for the Leeds and Hatfield events.
Added to the bill are Stand Atlantic, With Confidence, Roam, Wargasm, Static Dress, I Am The Avalanche, Vukovi, Yours Truly, Sleep On It, The Bottom Line, 30h!3 and Dj Jacky P.
Derek Sanders (Mayday Parade), Vinnie Caruana (I Am The Avalanche), and Elder Brother have been added to the Acoustic Stage.
Of the bands announced, the returnees have fond memories of playing the festival, and are clearly excited to be playing again this year:
Stand Atlantic’s Bonnie Fraser: “We are so damn excited to be playing our favourite festival in the world. We can’t wait to bring some new songs baby – we’re gonna give ya everything we’ve got UK!”
Alex Adam from ROAM: “Slam Dunk is by far one of our favourite festivals to play. Come and watch us again or we’ll never come back and then everyone will cry. ROAM doesn’t suck anymore”
Jayden Seeley of With Confidence: “We’ve been busy working on our new sound in the past few months. We are super excited to play Slam Dunk this year and bring in the next era of With Confidence!”
Vukovi: “It’s been a while Slam Dunk…the Slam Dunk crowd is always bursting with energy. We are so ready for our sets”
In addition to this, the festival have revealed the stage splits for the Leeds and Hatfield events.
As has been announced previously, Don Broco and Sum 41 are this year’s co-headliners, and will top the bills on the ‘Rock Scene powered by Amazon Music stage’, and the ‘Fireball Stage’, respectively. Both stages will boast the best in contemporary and classic pop-punk.
The ‘Dickies Stage’ will be headlined by festival stalwarts The Wonder Years who will be playing classic album ‘The Upsides’ in full. The stage will be the festival’s home of emo.
Returning for its second year, after a triumphant debut, is the ‘Punk in Drublic’ stage. Fat Mike’s traveling festival of skate-punk, ska, and craft-beer will once again be headlined by scene-stalwarts NOFX.
As announced earlier in the week, metalcore titans While She Sleeps will headline the Jägermeister stage. Alongside this, British metalcore bruisers Bury Tomorrow will headline the ‘Impericon Stage’. Both stages will lead the charge of all things heavy at Slam Dunk.
The ‘Key Club’ stage-named after the Leeds nightspot of the same name-continues the tradition of hosting alternating bands, in what is essentially two stages in one. Topping this bill will be British mainstays Young Guns. In addition to this, a host of big names will be crammed into this intimate setting, creating what promises to be one hell of an atmosphere.
For those looking for something more mellow, the ‘Acoustic Stage’ will be headlined by This Wild Life.
