It has been a little while since their last event held at Camp & Furnace in late September 2017, but Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia will finally be returning this spring.
Re-branding itself as PZYK 2020, Europe’s finest celebration of psychedelia will take place in and around Invisible Wind Factory at the city’s North Docks over the course of 16 hours on Saturday 16th May.
At the top of the bill are Grammy-nominated, Anatolian rockers Altın Gün, dance-punk outfit Snapped Ankles, as well as Lancaster’s lo-fi garage punk duo The Lovely Eggs.
One of the hottest new bands around Black Country, New Road are also set to feature, in addition to festival regulars Bonnacons Of Doom, and psychedelic surf rock five-piece Los Bitchos.
After appearing at previous festivals, six time World Snooker Champion Steve Davis returns with his DJ partner Kavus Torabi and multi-instrumentalist Michael York to perform as The Utopia Strong.
Other artists announced include W.H. Lung, Vanishing Twin, Kel Assouf, Keeley Forsyth, Pregoblin, Free Love Sunburned Hand Of The Man, Eric Copeland of Black Dice, Gong Gong Gong 工工工 and Yīn Yīn.
There will also be performances from Kaukolampi (K-X-P), Wax Machine, Do Nothing, Adult Entertainment, Nuha Ruby Ra, Starlight Magic Hour, TVO, DJ Fritz, and Haley Fohr’s alter ego, Jackie Lyn.
PZYK 2020 will take place at Invisible Wind Factory and surrounding venues on Saturday 16th May, with additional information regarding visuals to be announced closer to the event.
