After what proved to be a more than just a touch of the classic British festival mud and rain last year, with a forced early closure, something tells us Y Not knew they needed to deliver big with this year’s line-up.
How else would they get rain-wary fans back through the gates at the Derbyshire festival?
Turns out the festival organisers have truly delivered. With three tiers of tickets already flying out, it is easy to see why when looking at the bill.
A UK Festival exclusive from classic master of funk and new disco, Jamiroquai is the stand-out name for an otherwise rock and indie dominated listing.
The Libertines return to sail the good old ship Albion to headline, alongside Catfish & The Bottlemen who are on the verge of releasing new material.
Further down the unbelievable line-up, DIY musician Seasick Steve will be on hand for his rustic and addictive brand of Blues, whilst Manic Street Preachers and Kaiser Chiefs are two heavyweights who will be sure to bring all the ammo for a traditionally boozy festival sing-song.
Reading rockers The Amazons will also be there, following last year’s astonishing debut album, along with indie favourites Circa Waves and Fat White Family
Other impressive names include punk legends Buzzcocks, the dreamy Birmingham outfit Peace and hot new-comers Redfaces.
And……of course, to help bring a smile to that hangover and sunshine to the rain-sodden fields…..Mr Motivator will be there in all his Lycra clad glory!
Y Not Festival will be 26-29 July, Pikehall, Derbyshire
