With a re-branding (Hinds were once known as Deers) and the addition of two more members it would appear the Madrid quartet of Ana Perrote, Carlotta Cosials, Ade Martin and Amber Grimbergen – aka Hinds – are “THE” break-through act of 2015.
Having already sold out shows the breadth of Europe and with the 2014 sangria fuelled release ‘Demo’ firmly attributed to their impressive catalog this groups star is getting brighter by the hour. Now, it has also been announced that Hinds have officially signed to acclaimed independent label Lucky Number Music and, they will be playing the label’s 10th anniversary party this Thursday at Village Underground in Shoreditch.
To celebrate the news of this signing, the band are also unveiling a brand new track, “Chili Town”, another perfectly imperfect slice of off-kilter pop; Black Lips by way of Phil Spector. In the band’s own words. “Chili town was born in a Friday afternoon. While drinking sangria we realised that if our songs were battles, we’ll always end up being the injured soldier. We were like “fuck it dude, why are we always the weak one in our lyrics??? what’s wrong with us???”
“So yeaaaaahhh we made it! we wrote a winner song! …right?”
Hinds will also be playing Secret Garden Party in Cambridgeshire and Deer Shed Festival in Yorkshire this weekend.
