There’s a lot to be said about Clint Boon – he’s a member of the Inspiral Carpets, a popular radio presenter on a range of stations (including Radio X and BBC Radio Manchester) and an all round Manchester legend. This year he started a podcast called ‘Clint Boon’s Set2go’ which has climbed that little bit higher up the iTunes chart after each episode, making it one of the country’s most successful new music podcasts.
Each podcast featurestracks from some of the country’s best up and coming artists that Boon thinks are ready to hit the big time. November 6th 2016 will see Boon take the podcast live, hosting (and DJ’ing at) an all day event where you can hear some of the featured artists live.
The event will take place between 2pm and 10:30pm over two floors at Manchester’s Sound Control and aims to create a diverse musicevent for all ages, as well as an environment where those in attendance will feel as if they’re being introduced to some of the country’s leading talents.
The line up consists of The Blinders, Ist Ist, Foxtales, No Hot Ashes, Liam McClair, Tourist Attractions, Ryan Jarvis, Mind Over Matter, Maruja, The Jade Assembly and Jess Kemp. All of the artists have had one of their tracks featured on an episode of Clint’s Set2Go podcast and live recordings of the best tracks on the night will be featured on an upcoming ‘Set2go Live’ podcast.
You can listen to previous episodes of ‘Set2go’ on iTunes. Tickets for ‘Set2go Live’ are £6 in advance form SeeTickets and Skiddle – grab one whilst you can and enjoy a day celebrating some of the best new music that Manchester has to offer.
