Isle of Wight have released the first names to feature on their 2020 line-up!

As we enter Christmas party season, summer festival season seems like a lifetime away, but the names announced are enough to get any Christmas Grinch smiling.

To be held 11-14 June 2020, the legendary festival has announced former Commodores man Lionel Richie and Lewis Capaldi in a Friday double-header.

Saturday sees another double bull headliner of Belfast rockers Snow Patrol and timeless dance duo The Chemical Brothers, before 80s pop heroes Duran Duran drawing the party to a close on the Sunday.

Traditionally the first big UK festival on the calendar, other acts on-hand to kick-start the summer come in the form of Brits-winner Sam Fender after his UK number 1 debut album ‘Hyspersonic Missles’.

Elsewhere, iconic British names of decades gone by are peppered throughout including Shaun Ryder’s Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Shed Seven and Kaiser Chiefs.

With such an epic first wave of acts being announced – the excitement for the rest of the bill is set to send music-lovers into delirium!

So, as you don your Christmas party dresses, deck the halls and drink a mulled wine or two – feel free to start dreaming of summer!

Isle of Wight 2020 is set to be a cracker (pun intended).
