The Foo Fighters have announced a last minute, intimate show in Chicago on August 4th. The 1100 capacity Metro will host a gig by the multi-platinum rockers. Unsurprisingly, the tickets sold out in less than an hour.
Lollapalooza is in town on Friday and although the Foos aren’t on the bill, this late-night performance seemed intended as an after-party for attendees of the festival which features Muse, The Killers and Blink-182 among others.
The band have a history of playing intimate and unusual gigs – this year saw them playing at the 500 capacity Cheese and Grain in Frome, Somerset in February
The band will release their ninth studio album, “Concrete and Gold,” in September.
