The organisers of the hotly anticipated Electric Fields festival have revealed further details about the event which is due to be held at Drumlanrig Castle, Thornhill in Dumfries & Galloway between the 26-27 August.
It’s good news for festival-goers who don’t want to camp overnight as a limited number of day tickets have been released at the reasonable price of £55 plus booking fee. Co-founder Nick Roberts said: “We’re really proud to bring this world-class line-up to Scotland this summer and you won’t find a better festival for the price anywhere in the country. The majority of fans will come for the full weekend experience but each day is a great music festival in its own right and we want to make sure anyone who can only make it for one day is able to join us.” Full weekend camping tickets are priced at £89.50 plus booking fee.
Meanwhile, the stage splits across each day have been announced, with acts scattered across the Main Stage, Sneaky Pete’s, Tim Peaks and Stewart Cruickshank stages. With a stellar lineup and a beautiful location at Drumlanrig Castle, situated not too far from Glasgow, Carlisle and Edinburgh, the festival provides a good quality alternative festival to T in the Park for music fans in the surrounding areas. Headlined by nineties legends The Charlatans and Primal Scream, the lineup boasts a number of familiar faces such as Wild Beasts, Everything Everything, The Twilight Sad and Fat White Family along with a batch of upcoming artists for festival goers to become acquainted with: The Lapelles, Neon Waltz, Sweaty Palms, Be Charlotte and many more. It looks to be an excellent weekend with real ales and global cuisine, along with family friendly areas.
If you’re wanting to end festival season in style, then Electric Fields is for you.
