Probo Titans and Harry ‘Iceman’ Furniss unleash new festival

A brand new two day event, Wakizashi, has been unveiled in Bristol. The two-dayer will take place at The Old Malt House in Bristol over the weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October.

A preliminary line up has been announced. The Saturday headliner has been confirmed as alt-Jazz masters Get The Blessing. Abrasively melodic phychsters Knifeworld headline on the Sunday. Saturday 22nd will also include a bevy of progressive west country acts including Hysterical Injury, Steve Strong, Twin, Human Bones, Charivari, Iceman Furniss Quartet, Luui and Saltings.

Wakizashi Sunday’s lineup is a pure Bristol showcase:  Ed Penfold, Evil Usses, Milon, Halftone, Drone Soul, Traces, Raefelle Dornelles Trio, Uther Modes and Perverts.

Like most great ideas the festival was born over a pint and melds promoter Probo Titans and Henry ‘Iceman’ Furniss’ love of “the beautifully forward thinking musical community we’re lucky enough to be a part of.”

Wakizashi takes place on the 22nd and 23rd October at The Old Malt House, Bristol.
