With just over four months until the Donington madness descends, 36 more acts have been announced to play Download festival during Daniel P Carter’s Radio One Rock Show on Sunday night. Joining headlining acts Iron Maiden, Rammstein and Black Sabbath are:
Sixx A.M, Amon Amarth, Monster Truck, NOFX, Janes’s Addiction, Graveyard, Bury Tomorrow, As Lions, One Ok Rock, Periphery, Alien Ant Farm, Grand Magus, Whiskey Myers, Heck, Zoax, Hill Valley High, Anti-Flag, Escape The Fate, Danko Jones, Turbowolf, Black Peaks, Shvpes, Electric Wizard, The King Is Blind, Kadavar, Municipal Waste, Cane Hill, Slaves (US), Wage War, Palisades, Reigning Days, Strange Bones, Good Tiger, Ashestoangels, The Kenneths and Muncie Girls.
Joining other confirmed acts Disturbed, Megadeth, Nightwish, Deftones and Korn, it feels like this is going to be a heavy year. Get your horns out festival lovers, weekend camping tickets and day passes are still available to buy on the Download website.
Also, festival organisers recently revealed that for this year only, the main stage will be renamed ‘The Lemmy Stage’ in honour of the late Motorhead frontman and Download regular Lemmy Kilminster. A tribute to the rock legend is already in the pipeline, so it seems that 2016 is already shaping up to be one to go down in history.
Below we have the latest Download line-up. Looks pretty good doesn’t it? June cannot come soon enough.
