The 50th anniversary of the legendary festival kicks off this Thursday, with a stellar line-up. No wonder, all weekender tickets have sold out.
Newport welcomes some of the biggest live acts out there, from Kasabian to Depeche Mode, Liam Gallagher and The Killers.
‘This Feeling’ are there to bring the best in all things Indie and Alternative, with acts such as Hey Charlie, Glass Peaks, Avalanche Party and Himalayas.
For all lucky enough to have nabbed a ticket, be sure to check out the festival’s official Spotify playlist to get you in the mood.
With it being the 50th anniversary, organisers have dubbed it the ‘Golden Jubilee’, with all punters tasked with dressing themselves in gold. Cue gallons of gold body paint and itchy tinsel wigs!
The reveller chosen as the ‘Golden God/Goddess’ (best dressed), will receive an exclusive backstage experience including a boozy champagne picnic access to the pit. Definitely worth the effort!
The sun is due to be shining over the island this weekend, with its very own micro-climate, it is sure going to feel like an escape from the ordinary – summer vibes only!
If you are not lucky enough to be at the festival, or prefer to put your feet up rather than in a pair of sweaty wellingtons, be sure to catch exclusive live coverage across Sky Arts and Sky One with coverage broadcast live in Ultra-HD and for the first time ever in Dolby Atmos Audio. Tune in from 7pm on Friday (22nd June) to get the best of the big acts.
Isle of Wight means one thing: the beginning of festival season!
