The whistle has blown for the 10th season of NorthSide, with the Danish festival confirming The Streets, Major Lazer and Bon Iver as the headliners for next year’s edition.

Since the festival’s inception Bon Iver has been one of the most requested acts by both the audience and organisers, now finally the outstanding songwriter -known for the most recent hip hop inspired masterpiece “22, A Million” and his beloved classics “For Emma” and “Holocene” – finally makes it onto the bill. After a memorable performance in 2011, The Streets are returning for a highly anticipated comeback tour, armed with an impressive back-catalogue of hits and inspired new material. American electronic dance trio Major Lazer have also been added to next year’s line-up after fellow performer Diplo conducted one of the most impressive shows in the history of NorthSide. His return in 2019, alongside the full musical troupe, will be nothing short of spectacular.

In addition to the three international headliners, Danish rockers The Minds of 99 are also added to the line-up by popular demand of the NorthSide guests. Additionally, Lydmor and Cautious Clay are added to the program. Lydmor is currently playing shows with a visually impressive production that will certainly work well at NorthSide 2019. Cautious Clay’s sensitive vocals, jazz-inspired tracks and collaborations with AlunaGeorge, Lil Silva and Petit Biscuit all indicate he will be a future star, and this summer will be his first concert at NorthSide.

Festival spokesman John Fogde explains: “With a start like this, we are very well underway in the process of putting together the NorthSide line-up. These are six very different acts, and several of them have been high on the wish lists of our guests in recent years. However, there is a long way and more than 35 additional acts to be announced before we can reveal the final poster. The way things are going we feel confident that next year’s poster will be able to compete with the very best we’ve ever put together”.

NorthSide 2019 takes places in Aarhus, Denmark on the 6th – 8th of June 2019. Tickets can be purchased via NorthSide.dk from Thursday 1st of November at 10am CET.
