This year is certainly proving an eventful and distinguished one for Eminem. 2017 marks both the 15th anniversary of the release of his forth studio album, ‘The Eminem Show’ and also the movie ‘8 Mile’ for which he won the Academy Award for ‘Best Original Song’. Now would only seem right for him to revisit his place in Hollywood. His latest project sees him link up with the film and music video producer Joseph Khan on the production of the rap battle film entitled ‘Bodied’ and has been described as a ‘rap satire’ by Billboard.

The script has been written by Khan and Toronto based battle rapper Kid Twist (nee Alex Larsen) who is well known for his use of humour. The film will focus on race relations and will be an ‘exploration of the world’s most artistically brutal sport — battle rapping.’

Eminem and Khan have previously worked together as he directed his videos for “Without Me”, “We Made You”, “Love the Way You Lie” and the controversial “Spacebound” which sees Eminem shoot himself in a motel. If all of this is anything to go by, we’re expecting laughter, drama, tears and added shock factor. As the trailer implies, ‘No rules, no respect and no mercy’.

The film will be premiered at the Toronto Film Festival next month. See the full video below:
