The response to ‘Chester Bennington’s’ death on the music charts has been totally unprecedented in the rock world. On Aug 4th a total of eleven Linkin Park songs received platinum certifications from the ‘Recording Industry Association of America’ (RIAA).

Since Bennington’s July 20th death fans have rediscovered and taken solace in Linkin Park’s music.

Two weeks ago Linkin Park broke a Billboard record with 23 tracks on the Hot Rock Songs chart. They also became the first artists to claim the 1, 2 and 3 spots on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart.

In the first few days after Bennington’s death, Linkin Park’s album and songs sales surged by an incredible 5,332 percent. As for streaming, Linkin Park’s plays grew by 730 percent.

Linkin Park are also selling Chester Bennington tribute merchandise on their website.
