Electric Fields announce warm up shows and competition to play the festival

Electric Fields have made an exciting announcement which will provide new and upcoming musicians an amazing opportunity to play the festival.

Artists have been encouraged to submit their music and details via the Electric Fields website, where a panel of industry experts will choose one lucky winner to play a slot on the new Stuart Cruickshank stage at the festival. The winning act will also be given the opportunity to play at the festival warm up shows, taking place in The Venue in Dumfries on the 11th August and Broadcast in Glasgow on the 19th August.

With a stellar lineup this year, it will give ambitious musicians the chance to have their music heard alongside the likes of The Go Team, Fat White Family, WHITE and Eliza and the Bear who will also be appearing on the Stuart Cruickshank stage across the weekend.

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday 27th of July. Electric Fields takes place at Drumlanrig Castle in Thornhill, Dumfries between the 26th and 27th of August, with Primal Scream and The Charlatans headlining.
