Armed with their fantastic upcoming single I Can’t Sleep, Berkshire alt-rock quintet Elasea are bursting back onto the scene at full force. Having divided their time in 2018 between playing shows and being hard at work in the studio on new material, it is time for a new dose of Elasea before the year is out. Their new single I Can’t Sleep is set for release on the 9th of November and is a fantastic slice of modern British rock which is among Elasea’s finest work to date.
Elasea are extremely enthusiastic about their new upcoming single, as they will tell you themselves:
“We are so excited to finally announce the release of our next single ‘I Can’t Sleep’! It feels like it’s been a longtime coming following our EP release last year and it’s definitely the direction we’ve always wanted our music to follow. A lot of time has been spent perfecting this song as much as we can, recording it and producing it the way we imagined with Sam Winfield and also shooting the video with Dave Parker, who’s vision was exactly what we saw in the writing process.”
I Can’t Sleep will be the first song from Elasea to feature their new guitarist Martyn Powers, who joins the band as a full permanent member after proving a hit with the band on a run of shows as a live guitarist earlier in the year.
For those discovering Elasea for the first time and want a taste of what their all about musically, or indeed for those who already know them and want another opportunity to listen to them, please check out Breathe // Lesson Learnt from their 2017 EP Lesson Learnt below:
Elasea currently have two live shows in the diary. Firstly, Elasea will celebrate the release of I Can’t Sleep one day after the single’s launch on the 10th of November with a show at Central Studio in Basingstoke. They will also be hitting the stage in Guildford on the 18th of November as part of the line up for Delayed Departure’s EP launch show, taking place at The Boileroom. Tickets for that show are available here.
Announcing themselves to the UK music scene with their first EP in early 2015, Elasea’s musical journey has so far taken them all around the country, up and down away from their Berkshire home base. Between their first EP and 2017 follow up Lesson Learnt, they’ve attracted attention and praise from the likes of Rock Sound and BBC Introducing. During the last couple of years they have shared stages with many notable bands including Funeral For A Friend, AllUsOnDrugs, Veridian and Echoic to name a few, but Elasea are just getting started! For the rest of 2018 and beyond, they are a band you should not take your eyes off.
