DENA announces 90’s inspired hip-hop, Balkan beats LP “Flash”

Berlin based DENA (aka Denitza Torodrova) has today announced details of her debut LP ‘Flash’, which is set to land on the 11th March 2014. There is already a real buzz about the artist and her unique take on her 90‘s inspired hip-hop and native Balkan beats. It’s an infectious signature sound that already appears to be in huge demand.

The new album features past singles ‘Thin Rope’ and ‘Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools’ which were released by French label ‘Kitsune and Greedhead’ earlier this year, with the latter approaching a million plays on youtube.

The track ‘Bad Timing’, see above, is also from the new album and is a slight change in direction. It’s a track of personal stories but still appeals to all.  A review of the album will follow shortly but in the meantime see what all the hype is about and enjoy ‘Bad Timing’.

If you happen to be in Germany or the US you can see DENA at the following shows…

Tuesday 4th February – The Bitter End, New York

Wednesday 26th February – Berghain Kantine, Berlin

Friday 28th February – Indra, Hamburg
