On the 20th June Death Spells fans across the word were greeted with the news that the two-piece are due to release their long anticipated full-length album this July. The band originally planned to release such an album late in 2013.
Ex-My Chemical Romance guitarist Iero and keyboardist Dewees first started collaborating on the project in California 2012 while the band was busy in the studio. They started playing around with studio equipment and by doing so gave birth to a number of short experimental demos including ‘Where Are My Fucking Pills?’. In 2013, after My Chemical Romance disbanded, they went on to tour with Mindless Self Indulgence, performed at the Skate and Surf Festival in New Jersey, and later supported The Architects towards the end of the year. This announcement comes as the first known activity from the electropunk pair since then, though both members have been committed to other significant projects throughout this time.
