So, with Tulisa leaving the X Factor as a judge there appears to be a free spot. And if Simon Cowell has his way it will non-other than enigmatic star David Bowie taking her place.
Cowell said: “I think if I could have anyone on The X Factor it would be David Bowie. It’s no secret I’ve asked him, and he hasn’t said yes yet, but I’ll keep extending the invitation.”
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, Cowell continued: “Why Bowie? He’s a legend. He’s a great songwriter, he has massive influence on music today and he’s 100 per cent credible. I’m a fan. Not just of his music but of him, the man. He’s cool. Most of us aren’t. Bowie is.”

It was also reported that in 2011 Cowell asked Noel Gallagher to join the panel. Gallagher was however less than keen. He told the Radio Times “You’ve got someone like Dannii Minogue telling you you’re really talented – and if there’s one person in the room who wouldn’t know talent if it kicked them in the a*** it’s Dannii Minogue.”
David Bowie releases his 24th studio album “The Next Day” on the 11th March in the UK. His first album for 10 years (since the 2003 release “Reality”) and containing the critically acclaimed single “Where Are We Now?”
