Chester Bennington, the lead singer of rock band Linkin Park, has reportedly died in his Palos Verdes home in California. TMZ reported that law enforcement confirmed it was a suicide via hanging.

Mr. Bennington was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1976. He began his music career in the early ’90s, and joined Linkin Park in 1999. Their debut album ‘Hybrid Theory’ was hailed as one of the best debut albums of the 2000s and catapulted the band to superstardom. It eventually received diamond certification in 2005. The band’s latest LP ‘One More Light’ was released in May of this year.

Mr. Bennington is survived by his wife, Talinda Bentley, and his six children.
