Yesterday morning we had the announcement we’ve all been waiting for, Arctic Monkeys are back in business. Having dominated the music industry in 2013 with the renown album AM, the boys are bound to take 2018 by storm, starting with a string of festival dates this summer.
The Sheffield quartet are playing pretty much every European festival going this year, including slots at Primavera Sound, Mad Cool Festival, Best Kept Secret and many more. As well as the previously announced US Firefly festival, plus the only UK festival slot to date which goes to TRNSMT in Glasgow on the 1st July.
Alongside this announcement we have the first glimpse of artwork from the sixth era of Arctic Monkeys. The art deco style elongated hexagons on the black background, with a fresh new font ooze an elegant side to the band, perhaps a glimpse of a new direction. The new album is expected at any point this year so we can be sure that big news will be coming in the very near future.
A full list of festival dates are below, tickets are expected to sell out following this announcement so get yourself some while you still can.
