Tool have released a snippet of new music, the bands first since their 2006 album 10,000 Days.
The new music is part of a video the band posted on YouTube to promote some upcoming clinics the band will be doing. The music in the clip is apparently part of a song called ‘Descending.’
The video calls the clinics that drummer Danny Carey, bassist Justin Chancellor and guitarist Adam Jones will be doing “the ultimate VIP experience.”

The clinics will apparently feature the musicians preforming songs and walking attendees through the songwriting process of the pieces.
The new music in question sounds like classic Tool, which should please longtime fans of the band. The song clip in the video sounds like it may be the songs intro with it’s long extended instrumental section that slowly builds through the 3:36 video.
There is still no title for the next Tool album, or any set date for when it will be released.
