London-based four-piece The Big Moon have revealed details of their debut album and released a new single, ‘Formidable’.
The eagerly awaited album, ‘Love In The 4th Dimension’, will be released on 7th April on Fiction. It includes recent singles ‘Cupid’ and ‘Silent Movie Susie’, as well as re-recorded versions of earlier singles ‘The Road’ and Sucker’.
Lead singer/guitarist Juliette Jackson co-produced the LP with Catherine Marks. It was recorded over 12 days this summer in London and comprises 11 tracks that the band have been playing on a tour that climaxed earlier this month at a sold-out show at London’s Scala.

“We’ve been playing these songs for two years now, and it’s a dream come true to finally immortalise them on record. It’s like having eleven tiny babies all at once, all with their own little faces and voices and personalities, and now we’re ready to throw them out of our nest and into your ears,” Jackson says.
‘Formidable’ will be available as a limited edition 7-inch vinyl single from 13th January. It is available now online. The well-constructed song is a mini-epic of just under 3 minutes — perfect pop-song length — that builds from a quiet beginning to an emotional climax. “Did she make you swallow all your pride, Does the love still shiver down your spine, I am not invisible, I’m on your side, I’ll be formidable,” Jackson sings with touching sincerity. Bassist Celia Archer adds delightful backing vocals, Fern Ford plays drums and keyboards, while Soph Nathan and Jackson’s guitars first chime delicately, then roar passionately.
