Toronto noise-punkers Metz have been honing their unholy craft for the best part of a decade but, until now, they only had two full LPs to their name. A third one is set to join the ranks soon, though, as the trio have unveiled ‘Strange Peace’, their first album since 2015’s ‘II’. The album lands on September 22nd via Sub Pop and comes in the usual array of formats.
In addition to standard black wax and CD, the album is also available on coloured vinyl and tape, with cassette reissues of the group’s two previous efforts also being announced to tie in with the new release. A four and a half minute facebook livestream was used to rather imaginatively announce the album, with material from the record being played in the background, in addition to a new song being shared from the album.
