Glasgow-based rock/hip hop mash-up The LaFontaines have released a brand new track “Asleep” along with a video. It’s the first track from their forthcoming album “Common Problem” out 27th October.
“Asleep” opens with Kerr Okan’s instantly recognisable voice proving that, surprisingly, rapping with a Scottish accent can actually work. The track then slowly builds up to the chorus where the band unleash their signature relentless energy.
They also announced a tour to support the album and will be playing ten dates across the UK this November. Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
Their debut album “Class” intrigued listeners in 2015 and since then they have used their live shows to draw in a loyal fan base. Their sound is unique and stretches across genres whilst still remaining tight and cohesive.
“Common Problem” will be darker thematically than their debut. Okan said, “We’re not as young and naive as we were in our early twenties. We’ve been around the world as a band, seen a lot of things and discovered our one big Common Problem… There is a lot of angst, truth and reality held within this album.”
Common Problem will be released 27th October.
