Sheffield band Slow Club are recording their fourth album in February, with Matthew E White at Spacebomb Studios in Richmond, Virginia, USA.
Slow Club — Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor — released their third album, ‘Complete Surrender’, in July 2014, charting at 51 in the UK. Their previous self-penned albums are ‘Yeah So’ from 2009 and ‘Paradise’ two years later.
Last year, Slow Club released ‘I Swam Out To Greet You’, a limited-edition vinyl album for Record Store Day consisting of cover versions such as ‘Killing Moon’ by Echo and The Bunnymen, Jaime T’s ‘The Prophet’ and ‘Disco 2000’ by Pulp.
During Slow Club’s break from recording, Rebecca Taylor launched an arty website (selfesteem.love) selling t-shirts and showing her short films. Matthew E White, founder of Spacebomb, is best known for his 2012 album ‘Big Inner’ and for his work as band leader of jazz ensemble Fight the Big Bull.
