The Charlatans have revealed details of their upcoming 13th studio album, ‘Different Days’. Released on May 26th, the album will feature the single Plastic Machinery as well as an array of guest guitarist cameos, including the likes of Johnny Marr who features on the lead single while the final track Spinning Out was co-written by Paul Weller. The tragic loss of drummer Jon Brookes in 2013 sees former Verve member Peter Salisbury feature also on this record as he continues to step in on a permanent basis.
Formed in the West Midlands in the back end of the 1980s, the band have gone on to become one of the ‘stately homes’ associated with the ‘Madchester’ scene, forming an iconic part of the 1990s movement. The band have achieved tonnes of critical acclaim in their longstanding career and continue to produce music of the same quality as they have for nearly thirty years.
‘Different Days’ will be released on May 26th.

The band are set for a very busy month of May as yesterday they announced that they will be playing at The Great Escape festival in Brighton. The Charlatans play a late show at The Haunt on the evening of Friday 19th May, taking to the stage at 12:30am.
