It’s been a long time coming, but the day has finally arrived that the debut album from A Joker’s Rage sees daylight! The Rain Dance is a 12 track genre bending masterpiece, featuring recent hit single Shylock and also My Heroes which is also officially released today.
Full of catchy melodies and driving riffs it would be easy to classify A Joker’s Rage as simply a rock band, but after letting the album wash over you, it will become apparent that the band are adept at bringing in a range of influences without losing their signature sound.
The Rain Dance is an album that will keep listeners guessing from track-to-track as A Joker’s Rage take them on a full blown musical journey. There are nods to classic rock’s mighty heyday, full blown modern rock anthems, songs that have pop sensibilities and everything in-between. All the while, A Joker’s Rage have managed to create an album that flows brilliantly from start to finish and never once loses the sense of enjoyment and love from those who have assembled it.
Also released today is the second track from The Rain Dance called ‘My Heroes‘ is a modern rock ballad for the ages, from its softly spoken intro to the enormous chorus, My Heroes is a track that will worm its way firmly into the listeners’ head and refuse to leave. My Heroes follows on from the success of The Rain Dance’s previous single Shylock, which achieved widespread airplay at radio across the UK and beyond. Being released on the 25th of October along with the full album, A Joker’s Rage are gearing up for a great 2020!
Explaining the motivation behind the track, the band details how it is a direct experience from their own lives:
“This track is a personal one and covers how changes in personal circumstance can radically turn around lives for the better, in this example having children. Whilst the responsibility of parenthood can be seen as a burden (and particularly with the lifestyle of a musician), this track looks at the situation in a positive light.“.
