Starting in 2003, the 33 1/3 series began publishing short books about classic albums. 16 years later the series has put out books on over 140 albums, with many more forthcoming.
Now Bloomsbury have announced the release of a b-sides collection titled – The 33 1/3 B-sides: New Essays by 33 1/3 Authors on Beloved and Underrated Albums.
Featuring 55 new essays from past 33 1/3 authors, they explore albums that are regularly overlooked or underrated and that are in some way personal to them.
Authors from the series return to cover albums such as John Cale’s Paris 1919, The Smashing Pumpkins’ Adore, De La Soul’s De La Soul Is Dead, Digable Planets’ Reachin’ and Nine Inch Nails’ The Fragile.
