LA based singer songwriter JP Saxe is a well respected song writer and has worked with the people such as Babyface and Dre. We caught up with him ahead of the release of his first EP “Hold It Together” on Friday.

How was your Christmas and New Year?

 Semi Lovely. Semi Awful.

What’s the story behind ‘If The World Was Ending’?

 Julia and I were talking about earthquakes and love. Hopefully we only fall in one of them.

Three things you love about collaborating with Julia Michaels might include

  • She’s the best songwriter I know.
  • Her fans are incredible
  • Basically nothing I don’t love.

What is the best piece of advice you were given about song writing and who was it from?

Write as many bad songs as possible. That’s been general consensus advice from all of the best.

What are you plans for 2020

Touch my toes finally, read more, stadium tour.

What are your hopes for the new decade?

The decade!? I struggle with New Year’s resolutions…. I guess I hope the green new deal happens.
