Foals shares gloomy new music video for ‘Give It All’

This Foals article was written by Nairomi Alice Eriksson, a GIGsoup contributor

The video for ‘Give It All’, one of the tracks from Foals forth studio album ‘What Went Down’, shows the band performing in a basement bar to a seemingly distressed man remembering a turbulent love affair. Belgian actor Jérémie Renier is drowning his sorrows in whisky and stumbling around an apartment as he relives the passionate relationship; his lover is played by French actress Caroline Fauvet.

The video is shot in Paris and directed by LA based Nabil Elderkin, known simply as NABIL, who worked on previous Foals videos for ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Late Night’. The director and photographer has an extensive list of notable clients such as Bon Iver, FKA Twigs and Kanye West, who he has collaborated with since the start of West’s career.

Also available to view is the director’s cut with a significantly more dramatic ending. Watch it here
